MISA Welding Rotator
Welding rotators are similar to positioners, in that it's a mechanical means to rotate culindrical vessels. They minimise handing, increase efficiency, and dramatically improve the quality of workmanship from welders of all skill levels. MISA can supply conventional and self-aligning rotators to suit various sizes of weldments across a variety of sectors. Any steelworks with cylindrical vessels for windtower production, a rotator will be beneficial, sometimes a necessity. If the weldment is cylindrical, a rotator will make a huge difference to most welding processes including SAW TIG MIG and ARC.
Self-aligning welding rotator
Engineered to make automated adjustments to accommodate the rotation of workpieces with various weights and diameters. Our self-aligning welding rotator and turning rolls further enhance; operator safety, productivity, weld quality and reduce worker fatigue. Self-aligning welding rotators are the preferred option when working with thinwall workpieces.
Conventional welding rotator
Our heavy duty, build to last conventional rotators and turning rollsare designed and manufactured to tolerate the hardest, hard-wearing and unrelenting workingload environments. The powered drive units are controlled by a five-function pendant wih a wariable speed potentiometer, giving the operator full control of the rotating workpiece.
What are the parts of a welding rotator?

The traditional tank rotator is comprised of two (2) parts:
l Idler supporting unit
l Motorized drive unit (power)
When dissected, each of them would have different parts, too!
Idler Supporting Unit
The idler support, or more commonly referred to as the “base” is the part that carries the wheels or the mediums that perform the rotation or the twisting of the workpiece.
Parts of the idler supporting unit include:
l Drive turning roll
l Driven wheel frame
Motorized Drive Unit
Akin to the idler supporting unit, the motorized drive unit is also comprised of different parts and components.
For the benefit of everyone, the motorized drive unit is the part of the rotator that gives off the power and the energy to make the tank rotator work.
The controller and the motor are two (2) of the most important parts of the motorized drive unit.
These are the parts of a tank rotator. Some tank rotator manufacturers and suppliers might add too few parts and components to complement it, but these are the parts of a traditional rotator.
What are the advantages of welding rotator?
1、The welding rotator adopts a manual control box to control the start, stop, forward and reverse rotation of the equipment, which is very convenient to operate.
2、The welding rotator adopts the separated structure of driving and driven frames, which can adapt to workpieces of any length.
3、The welding rotator is driven by constant torque frequency conversion control motor. In this way, the speed adjustment of the equipment becomes wider, with strong load capacity and good low-speed stability.
4、The welding rotator adopts polyurethane roller design, which increases the friction between the roller and the workpiece and makes the equipment temperature resistant, friction resistant and non slip.
5、For the pipe welding rotator, the whole machine adopts the welding machine structure design, which makes the equipment compact and rigid, and can be used in many places.
